Today, leaders must continually adapt their leadership and communication styles to address diverse situations, new challenges, and emerging opportunities. After setting the organization’s overall direction, today’s effective leaders draw from multiple approaches for inspiring the workforce and increasing involvement and “ownership” at all levels. To build confidence and trust, they must learn how to choose the right approaches for each situation – leading flexibly while remaining thoroughly consistent about the messages, behaviors, and values that matter most.

Program Description

Fundamentals of Leadership will help supervisors and managers understand the leadership styles and techniques most likely to enhance productivity and profitability, improve employee involvement, and build trust. This module explores leadership and communication styles through the use of the Behavior Styles instrument. Participants identify their own style and then learn the characteristics of the other styles so they can adapt when dealing with others.
